The idea for Vanilla Earth was born in mid-2014 by a desire to consume locally and to be more self-sufficient. We asked ourselves what it takes to get one of the most basic human needs into homes in an efficient and sustainable way, the answer to which was born Vanilla Earth.
On a late-harmattan day in January 2017 - in the garden of a home in Accra - the first seeds were planted, some tomato, lettuce, and cassava. We chalked some success and some set-backs too but the idea was firmly planted bringing alive a mini revolution.
Today far away from the bustling city of Accra in the rolling hills of Akwapim we are taking root. Steadily growing to provide that produce we've all been waiting for...
